Polaris Headlining US Tour: A Night to Remember in Silver Spring, Maryland

Australian metalcore giants, Polaris, are on a headlining US tour and rolled through Silver Spring, Maryland this past Sunday. Even playing on a Sunday night, the crowd did not disappoint and show up to mosh, head bang and scream their hearts out.

Nerv

Opening the night was California alt rock group Nerv. They very obviously had quite the following in the crowd. Everyone was going nuts for these guys. We got to meet and spend some time with them at the merch table after their set. If you want to MEET the people you see on stage, Nerv won’t disappoint.

Thousand Below

Next was Thousand Below also coming from California. The post hardcore four piece is a group I haven’t heard much but man, I’m a convert. They absolutely lit up the stage and put on a show I didn’t want to stop photographing after three songs!

Blessthefall

Direct support for this tour is metalcore icons, Blessthefall. I have never had the pleasure of seeing them live until this show and oh, oh my, I’ll be back. The crowd was fully dedicated to them from the second the lights went down and they stepped foot on stage. Epic screams, head banding to the point that I’d be dizzy and even having a vocalist jump down into the crowd. There’s a reason they have been around as long as they have and it truly shows when they play live.

Polaris

And finally, it was time for Polaris to take the stage. This tour is international for them, they came all the way from Australia for it. I was already a fan, but these guys are metalcore embodied and seeing it live was stunning. The straight up energy put forth from every single member and they was they interact with each other and the crowd is top tier. You can really tell there’s a reason they have made it to the level they have and that showmanship and raw talent is it.
