Something that’s integral to human interaction is relatability. That is exactly what Las Vegas-based band, BURNLINE, is conveying in their new music video, FAKIN’ IT, which is set to be released on YouTube on October 22nd.

Sang by Lauren Davis and Jason Mann, the country and pop duo recorded this upbeat “barn burner single” (their words, not mine) as part of their debut EP MATCHES. Like their website says, their music goes between “smooth, gritty, empowered and vulnerable” and FAKIN’ IT fits right in.

At the start of the music video, the audience is invited to follow Lauren as she gets ready for a party by rummaging through her closet and trying on a bunch of different outfits. Immediately, we see the constant changing and indecision as she’s unsure of what to wear for the event. We’ve all had at least one occasion where we’ve doubted ourselves during our daily lives and everyday routine.

As the music video progresses it goes from unsure to confident which is symbolic of putting our best foot forward even when we’re not feeling it, especially in social settings. Next time you’re getting ready for a special event, or have feelings of doubt, be sure to play this song and remind yourself to enjoy the moment.

BURNLINE is heading on tour throughout the west coast next month. You can listen to FAKIN’ IT and watch the official music video exclusively below before it’s released on YouTube!
