In May, Tuck from Fit For A King hinted on his twitter of a metalcore tour to end all metalcore tours. Days later, the Metalcore Dropouts Tour was announced. An absolute powerhouse line up featuring: Landmvrks, Counterparts, The Devil Wears Prada and Fit For A King. Not only is this line up featuring metalcore royalty, the artwork they had drawn is just *chef’s kiss*.
Landmvrks
Beginning this night full of metalcore goodness is Landmvrks. While I had heard their music before I was totally unaware they were from France. They made a huge trip to be a part of this tour. My favorite part of the set was a the bit of rapping the singer did in French towards the end of their set.
Counterparts
Counterparts is a band that has been on my “Must See” list for awhile now. I had tickets to their 2022 headlining tour and was sick (SICK SICK, fever and stuck in bed) and couldn’t make it. This was my chance to finally see them and they did not disappoint. My favorite part about their live show is the banter vocalist Brendan has. He name calls the crowd on the regular and it’s a whole vibe. He also let us know he had to leave his cat for this shit so we had better get moving. I can identify with that statement but with my dog.
The Devil Wears Prada
Part I of the co-headliners for the night was The Devil Wears Prada. I’m defiantly not new to them and was prepared for an incredible performance and of course they delivered. This was my second time covering them (You an check out my last coverage here ). This time was a much larger scale show and they just knocked it out of the park completely. The stage set up was two levels with three band members in the front and three in the back. The light show played to the aesthetic of their newest album, “Color Decay” which most of the songs from their setlist were from. They did however pepper in some old school tracks like Dez Moines and Outnumbered.

Fit For A King
Co-headliner #2 for the evening was Fit For A King. I am also not new to these guys and knew what was coming. If you know, you know. The jump kicks were in full swing (or rather kick?) that night. Wild stage presence, crazy light show, and some of the best metalcore the scene has right now.
