Fall Out Boy brought some much needed heat to the city of Albany after it was covered in snow the night before the show. The So Much For (2OUR) Dust tour continues the celebration of Fall Out Boy’s latest album, “So Much (For) Stardust”. What better night for a celebration than on the one year anniversary since the release of the album? The openers for the show consisted of Games We Play, Hot Mulligan, and Jimmy Eat World.
I’ve been seeing Fall Out Boy live since I was in high school and even have a photo with them that’s now 9 years old. Getting the opportunity to photograph this show felt like one of those coming full circle moments. It hadn’t been too long since I’d last seen Fall Out Boy as I caught them on the last show of their tour with Bring Me The Horizon last summer.
Fall Out Boy put on an extensive setlist of 27 songs ranging from old to new. A fun twist that Fall Out Boy introduced was the magic 8 ball. At every show the magic 8 ball will choose a special song to be played. Albany’s 8 ball song would be, “I Am My Own Muse” off of Stardust. The Chicago rockers continue to be consistently at the top of their game when performing live. The band also puts a lot of effort into their stage design. They use plenty of fireworks and pyro to go around and stage props that build awe as you watch the setups change. You also had a moment during the night where for one of the songs everyone put their phone lights in the air and covered it with a pink piece of paper that was handed out prior to the show. The whole arena looked stunning lit up with all these pink lights.
I can’t say enough how awesome Fall Out Boy still are and I can’t wait to see them again at this years When We Were Young festival. There are still plenty of dates left though on this current tour so I suggest you secure your tickets if you haven’t already.

Hot Mulligan
Pop Punk’s #1 hot new band, Hot Mulligan continues to move in an upward projection. One of their biggest tours to date, it’s been amazing to watch this band progress as artists and play bigger shows and venues. One of my favorite bands in the scene!
