A new era is upon us. Punk rock duo The Garden have released their new single “Freight Yard” along with a U.S. tour announcement. The single marks their first solo release since their 2020 album “Kiss My Super Bowl Ring”. Never straying away from their interesting lyrical content and overall punk vibes, “Freight Yard” is a nice sneak peek for what to expect for their upcoming album.

“Way down underneath the state line

I make deals with a farmer in the freight yard

I said a freight yard

I’m not afraid of, being the one with the ace card”

The Garden – Freight Yard

Formed in 2011, twin brothers Wyatt Shears (vocals/bass guitar) and Fletcher Shears (vocals/drums) came onto the scene with their experimental rock sound and rather interesting jester-like style. Now, with four full-length albums and a slew of side projects under their belts, The Garden shows no sign of slowing down. “Freight Yard” is a testament to this. The song features the classic sound fans know and love, with the bass/guitar combination carrying the song throughout and synthesizers adding fun effects. The release of “Freight Yard” and the announcement of their fall tour have fans excited for what’s to come. And we cannot wait to see what the twins have under their sleeves for us!
