On Friday, May 24th, Noah Kahan performed a sold out show as part of his “We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour”, with support from Ryan Beatty  at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. This was the first of two sold out shows in Nashville.

Around 8 P.M. Ryan Beatty, Noah’s opener, took the stage. During his set, Beatty sang Bruises Off the Peach, Little Faith, White Teeth, Cinnamon Bread, and also a cover of Neon Moon (originally by Brooks & Dunn). Ryan Beatty put on an amazing performance and has great vocals. His set was very intimate and felt as if he was having a music session with his friends. He did not have a stage design nor light changes. Beatty let his vocals be the main factor of his part of the show and let it shine through.

Noah Kahan is a Grammy nominated folk-pop singer-songwriter from Strafford, Vermont. He was signed with Republic Records in 2017, with his hit, Hurt Somebody. With the release of his album Stick Season, his 3rd studio album, he debuted at number 14 on the Billboard Music Charts.

At 9:15 P.M, Noah Kahan stepped on stage. He opened his set with his hit song Dial Drunk. Immediately, all of the fans started screaming and singing along to every word he sang. His stage presence was astounding. Kahan’s lighting and background went along with every song. During Dial Drunk, he had his lights to resemble those of a police car, flashing red and blue. In the first part of the show, he also performed New Perspective, Everywhere, Everything, and False Confidence. After the first section, Noah had an acoustic set. The stage was set up to resemble his childhood living room. His whole band came to the middle of the stage to sit in the atmosphere they created. In the acoustic set, he sang Come Over and Godlight

In between songs, Noah would make jokes with the crowd or tell them about why he wrote the songs that he was singing. He was very personable throughout the entire show. He made the crowd laugh several times throughout.

A few days before the concert, a fan sent a message to Kahan and asked him to play Carlo’s Song. He sent a reply saying that they would be playing it for her. Before singing this song, Noah mentioned that it was about his friend, Carlo, who has passed. He said that he enjoys performing it because it keeps his memory alive and he thinks of a memory that they have each time it’s played. It was such a beautiful experience and I am glad that I was able to be a part of it. The crowd took out their phones and turned their flashlights on to add to the atmosphere.

To close out the show, he performed The View Between Villages (this is one of my favorite songs by him and I am so happy that he played it) and Stick Season. With Stick Season, Kahan brought out a very special guest. He introduced Jelly Roll to the stage to sing this song with him. The crowd was so shocked, but happy when this happened! It was great to see this duo perform together!

I have literally been counting down the days until this show. I have wanted to see Noah Kahan in concert for so long. He did not disappoint. The atmosphere that he created was incredible. From the lighting, to the fan interaction, and his phenomenal vocals! If you have the chance to see him, do not miss out! Be sure to check out the remaining tour dates here
