In the spirit of Halloween I thought it would only be fitting to discuss the conclusion of Ashnikko’s (she/they) Halloweenie saga. The singer/songwriter released their final Halloweenie track earlier this October thus concluding her six year run. “Halloweenie VI: Possess Me” is the sixth and final track that I believe stands apart from the previous years. The track leans a lot more edm & house. Ashnikko is not known to stick to any one genre as she regularly mixes rap, pop, rock, and electronic effortlessly together. Her presentation from her music videos, to her lyricism, is very in your face and unapologetic. This is much of what makes her such a polarizing and successful artist.
