Turnstile
Turnstile is composed of members Brendan Yates (Vocals), Brady Ebert (Guitar), Daniel Fang (Drums), Franz Lyons (Bass), and Pat McCrory (Guitar). The hardcore punk band from Baltimore, Maryland has been blowing up since the release of their 2021 4th studio album, “Glow On“. They’ve been making various late night appearances performing on shows such as Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel, and most recently Jimmy Fallon. To add to their recent success, every date of the Turnstile Love Connection tour has sold out. Joined along on the tour are the bands, Citizen, Ceremony, Ekulu, and Truth Cult.
I will admit and say that “Glow On” was the album that introduced me to Turnstile. But now they’re a band that I wish I had been listening to sooner. They’re good… really good! Their live performance was even better. Turnstile easily put on one of the best shows I’ve seen this year. The crowd was moving all night as I watched mosh pits constantly going on from the balcony of The Fillmore. You can tell the band loves doing what they do. The energy and stage presence they bring makes my job as a photographer so much more enjoyable. When the encore was said and done the crowd was left chanting, “I want to thank you for letting me see myself. I want to thank you for letting me be myself”.
Turnstile played almost everything you could want to hear off of “Glow On”. Opening their set with Mystery and then going on to play, BLACKOUT, UNDERWATER BOI, DON’T PLAY, ENDLESS, NO SURPRISE, FLY AGAIN, ALIEN LOVE CALL, WILD WILD, HOLIDAY, and T.L.C (TURNSTILE LOVE CONNECTION). Other tracks off of previous albums that were really good live were Real Thing, Fazed Out, Blue by You, and Moon. You could take all the songs on this setlist and make a sick playlist that would be a perfect way to introduce Turnstile to someone who may haven’t listened to them yet.

Citizen
Citizen is based out of Toledo, Ohio and composed of members Mat Kerekes (Vocals), Nick Ham (Guitar), and Eric Hamm (Bass). Their most recent album release “Life In Your Glass World” came out in early 2021. Since then the band has released two additional single tracks, Let Me Out and Bash Out.
