Chiiild @ The Basement East in Nashville, TN

Chiiild’s Better Luck In The Next Life tour made a stop in Nashville, TN at The Basement East on March 22nd, 2023 with support from Isaia Huron

Isaia Huron is a North Carolina native that has relocated to Nashville, Tennessee. This is Isaia’s first time touring, but the way that he took the stage proved that he is meant to be there. Isaia has a strong rapport with his audience. He had everyone singing with him while performing his song, Self, and snapping our fingers to one another. His voice drew the crowd in and kept everyone living in the moment. He also performed Fallen/DGYLA, which is my favorite song of his. This song tells the listener about love and how it can affect mental health. During his set, Isaia wanted to share a surprise with the crowd. He took his phone out and got on his Instagram to make a post. He turned his phone around to show everyone a green screen photo to announce his newest song GLT, which will be released on March 31, 2023. Isaia Huron is a natural performer that will involve you in his set and make you feel like you are part of the show!

Chiiild is a Canadian experimental soul artist. Yonatan Ayal, also known as Chiiild moved to Los Angeles with Pierre-Luc Rioux in 2015 This is where he and Rioux found success as songwriters. They wrote for artists such as Katy Perry, Jessie J, and Usher just to name a few. Around 2017 they decided they should start to work on projects of their own. The band is led by Yonatan Ayal (lead vocals, keyboard, and guitar). He is joined by Pierre-Luc Rioux (guitar), Lauren “LYON” Malyon (violin, cello, and backing vocals), and Maxine Bellavance (drummer). Each of these individuals adds to the picture of this new blend of synthetic soul.

In 2023, Chiiild released Better Luck In The Next Life. This music is based on his life experiences and influences.

After the opener left the stage, the lights went dark until it was time for Chiiild to take the stage. One by one, members of the band walked onto the stage with flashlights on their heads to illuminate their surroundings. When Ayal took the stage, fog emerged and the dreamy encounter had begun. Throughout the set, the lighting from the show helped set the vibe for each song. Chiiild shared his music with the excited crowd at The Basement East. The audience was drawn into the experience as they put on a cinematic show. During the set, Chiiild played Gone, Better Luck Next Time, and Weightless.

Both Chiiild and Isaia Huron make an awesome team for this tour. All of the energy they brought to the stage left everyone in the audience wanting more. Be sure to check out the rest of the tour dates here!
