Jake Scott brings the “Lavender” tour to Marathon Music Works in Nashville, TN

On October 25th, rising pop singer-songwriter Jake Scott headlined Marathon Music Works with support from Josh Kerr and Sam MacPherson to give the fans a night to remember!

Around 7:30 P.M., singer-songwriter Josh Kerr, opened the show. Kerr is a music producer at Black River Entertainment based in Nashville, TN. He has also co-written songs with Jake Scott on a few different occasions. Later in the evening, Josh joined the stage with Jake to perform “If You Wanted It Too”, which is a blend of country and pop. Josh Kerr put on an amazing performance that left the crowd in awe.

At 8:30 P.M., Sam MacPherson came on stage. MacPherson’s music is classified as pop. In his music, he explores relationships and mental health. With his lyrics, Sam pays close attention to details and brings these stories to life with his voice and range. He took the audience through an expedition of feelings to create an atmosphere for the rest of the night.

It was so exciting to see Jake Scott perform at the Marathon Music Works in Nashville, Tn! The whole room was filled with excitement while  waiting for the surprises that he had in store for the fans and we were definitely not disappointed.

Scott took the stage with an array of bright lights at 9:00 P.M. He began his set with “Can We Just Be Happy Now” along with Josie Dunne. Jake Scott also performed songs like “Texas Girl”, “Green Eyes”, and “Tuesdays”.  He also did a cover of “All Too Well”, originally by Taylor Swift.

During the show, we got a preview of his unreleased song, “Lavender”, which will be released in 2023. This song has been stuck in my head since the moment that I heard it and I cannot wait until I am able to listen to it again. Later in the evening, Scott performed “She Likes It” and brought out surprise guest, Russel Dickerson, who is also on the track. This song is a great example of what the pop and country genre can do when combined.

Each one of these artists made sure to create a special environment for each fan in the building. It was a great concert with special guests to surprise everyone in attendance. All of the setlists from the night flowed from one to another which added to the overall experience of the show. If you want a night of great entertainment, I encourage you to go see Jake Scott on the Lavender tour!
