Logic set the College Park tour in motion as he made his grand staircase entrance on stage at The Met in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From making mixtapes in his basement to performing at Madison Square Garden, Logic takes us through the journey of his evolution.
Travis Stacey
Starting the night off with his latest single Ranger, Travis was all smiles and good vibes! Forming a connection with his audience from the jump, Travis was a natural on stage. The indie-rock artist had the crowd singing and laughing along with him for the entirety of his set.
Logic signed Travis to his very own label, BobbyBoy Records, just last year where he released his first label-backed single Only You, currently streaming on all platforms. Be sure to give Travis Stacey a follow on Instagram to stay up to date with his future work and if you haven’t heard, he’s selling T-shirts!
C Dot Castro
Setting the tone for the rest of the night, C Dot Castro introduces himself with one of his older songs Boomerang – released on May 8, 2012. The hip-hop artist followed up with his more recent music, like features with Logic including Beggin and Ballin’. It was refreshing bopping to the 2007 sample from Madcon’s Beggin, instantly turning into a crowd favorite. Castro’s rhythm and rhyme were on point! Logic signed Castro to BobbyBoy Records just last year, having been prior friends and collaborators.
Juicy J
Juicy J dialed up the energy with some live debuts, quickly leading into a crowd favorite, Bandz A Make Her Dance. His performance also included some popular features he has with artists like Kevin Gates, Katy Perry, and Mike WiLL Made-It. The rapper had his audience equally singing into the mic as he’d point it at them to belt out the show-stopping lyrics of his hit bangers. Juicy J threw a party at The Met.
Logic
It was a good day! After 4 years of anticipation, Logic revisits Philly for a night to remember. The Metropolitan Opera House, commonly known as The Met, was buzzing with hyped-up fans. As it grew closer to showtime, every available spot inside the theatre filled up by the minute. A wave of excitement spread across the hall as Rhetorik transitioned the night into Logic’s set. Winding up the crowd, Logic made his grand entrance coming down the basement stairs. The rapper kicked it off with Wake Up and Lightsabers ft. C Dot Castro, both from his newest album College Park – released February 24, 2023.
After serving straight consecutive bars for the first half of the night, Logic slowed it down for a minute with a quintuple platinum hit song, 1-800-273-8255. With well over 1 billion streams on Spotify, it shifted the trajectory of his music career. You could feel it in the room, the way his lyrics were being sung out to him, each line growing louder than the last, echoing off the walls. Ending that number with a tribute to his audience, Logic expressed, “And that’s the reason I am so proud to be here in front of you guys tonight, spreading the message of peace, love, and positivity man. And I’m so happy that you guys are here, that you’re fighting a good motherf**kin fight. Cause I don’t care who you are… we’ve all had ups, we’ve had downs, we’ve had good times, we’ve had bad man. And I’ve had ’em… and I’m going through it, man!”
