UPSAHL Causes A Racket At Racket NYC

The energy was electric at Racket, the Chelsea music hall, as UPSAHL took the stage for a highly anticipated performance. With hundreds of thousands of followers across social media, and more than 3.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify, the alt-pop sensation has a dedicated fan base who were eager to hear her live. While waiting for her to come onstage, I even heard some people in the crowd say they flew in from Los Angeles specifically for this show!

For those unfamiliar with Taylor Cameron Upsahl, aka UPSAHL, she’s a Phoenix native who has been making waves in the indie alternative scene for years. Her 2018 breakout hit, “Can You Hear Me Now,” went viral, and she’s since collaborated with other artists like Dua Lipa and Madison Beer. Halfway through the show in between songs, she talked about how she used to dream of touring one day and now she’s living her dream and thanked her fans in the audience.

The singer burst onto the stage with her band and showcased her powerful vocals, talented guitar playing, and fierce attitude. She kept the energy high all night which had the crowd jumping and dancing. UPSAHL’s talent as a songwriter was on full display, and her lyrics had the crowd singing along the whole time. She, of course, introduced her debut project, The PHX Tapes, and hilariously had blown up condoms floating around while she sang SIDE B (pictured above) of volume one.

Throughout the night, UPSAHL was a commanding presence on stage. She exuded charisma and confidence, and her band jammed in sync with her. The singer’s energy was infectious, and the crowd was fully engaged from start to finish. With the way the stage is set up, she was able to really get in her fans’ faces where they would all sing along together!

Overall, UPSAHL’s performance at Racket was nothing short of spectacular. Her talent as a songwriter and performer is undeniable. If you have the chance to catch one of her shows, she will be touring into September and will also be joining Tove Lo’s tour in the fall.
