On July 19th, 2023, Yungblud brought the Yungblud The World Tour to Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, Tennessee with support from Games We Play and The Regrettes.
Around 7:30 P.M, Games We Play took the stage. The band consists of 3 members, including Emmyn, Aaron, and Max. During their set, they played songs like Get a Job, Deadbeat, and Kristina. Emmyn asked the crowd if any of them had seen Games We Play in concert before and the crowd went wild. They also played a cover of Mr. Brightside by The Killers, which had everyone in the crowd dancing around and singing along with the lyrics. Games We Play had everyone in the crowd on their feet for their entire set. Their set was incredible and full of energy.
Soon after Games We Play, The Regrettes kicked off their set with their song California Friends. During their set, the group also performed Monday, Nowhere, Barely on My Mind, and a cover of Dancing on My Own (originally by Robyn). During the whole performance, the group was moving around the stage, making sure to include the audience as much as possible. The Regrettes closed their set with their song Poor Boy.
The moment that Yungblud (also known as Dominic Harrison) stepped onto the stage, the fans started cheering. The stage was covered with smoke as he started to perform 21st Century Liability. The crowd was filled with so much excitement as the singer jumped around the stage. The singer has such an incredible stage presence that you could feel it throughout the night. His set included songs like Parents, Strawberry Lipstick, Sweet Heroine, and Anarchist (This song has been my favorite since the release and I am so happy that he played it again on this tour!). Later in Harrison’s set, he played a cover of Jackson (originally by Johnny Cash) and brought out Jesse Jo Stark as a surprise guest! They both did such a phenomenal cover of the song.
Throughout the entire show, Yungblud had amazing lighting and visuals. He has a contagious energy that will get everyone in the venue standing and cheering along. Harrison made sure to communicate with his fans during his set. He used this time to make sure everyone left his concert with at least one new friend. He reminded everyone in attendance that we were all a part of his family. I have seen Yungblud at every Nashville show that he’s done so far and each time, he gets better and better. If you ever have the chance to catch a Yungblud show, I would 100% recommend it! He is a true rockstar.
