Michigan metalcore four-piece Of Virtue released their new album “Omen” today. Boasting nearly 4 million Spotify streams on their previous works this has been a much-anticipated album.

“Omen” is a beautiful mix of hard and melodic sounds that just tickles the metalcore fan in me to no end. The album features 12 tracks ranging from songs that have an almost orchestra-sounding background and piano to heavy guitars and screaming vocals. Several of the tracks easily hopped out at me as favorites.

Floating
This song is the one with the orchestra-sounding backing sounds and features Rory Rodriguez. It makes sense with his sound and style how this song was put together.

A.N.X.I.E.T.Y.
As someone who suffers from an anxiety disorder, the lyrics of this song immediately hopped out at me. I heard things in the lyrics I’ve said to myself many times before. The emotion of the screaming vocals really brings it all together and I can almost feel the panic through it.

Hypocrite
I just love the sound of this one. Heavy. Hard. Screamy- screams as a metalcore fan we just love coupled with the melodic chorus with more screams peppered into it.
