On Thursday Bad Wolves kicked off their headlining tour with Eva Under Fire, Uncured, and The Other LA in Knoxville, TN, spreading love and positivity and leaving no room for “Bad Friends”.
Starting the night strong was Nashville band The Other LA, who brought their heartfelt lyrics to the Tennessee crowd. Frontwoman Ari, though battling a sore throat, didn’t let it stop her from surveying every inch of the Concourse stage. The band’s energy spread like wildfire through the audience and there was no doubt that they gained many hometown fans through their energetic performance.
Up next was Uncured, a New York band formed by brothers Rex and Zak Cox in 2016. The progressive/ technical metal band brought face-melting heavy riffs to the stage that culled the crowd into a headbanging frenzy. Their energy was infectious and Vocalist Rex Cox had the crowd in awe during an earbending blindfolded guitar solo along with a flawless cover of Linkin Park’s “One Step Closer”.
From the moment Eva Under Fire took the stage the crowd was entranced by their stage presence. The Detroit band fronted by Amanda Lyberg just exuded positive, fun energy. You could truly tell that the messages of love they spread is also something they live by. Their entire set was filled with laughs, love, and a whole lot of rock and roll and the crowd loved every minute of it. I was genuinely blown away by their performance as a whole.
Last but certainly not least it was time for Bad Wolves to take the stage. Though I have seen them multiple times in the past at arena shows, I was very excited to see what they had in store for a headline tour of their own. They kicked off their set with “Bad Friend” from their latest album Die About It and the crowd couldn’t be tamed. Not even halfway through their set their frontman Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz jumped off the stage and clung to the barricade for almost an entire song to high-five fans and sing directly to the crowd. I have been to hundreds of shows, and I have to say these guys interacted with the crowd more than I have ever seen any other band do before. At one point they paused to celebrate fan Rylee, who was attending their first concert, they continuously reminded the crowd to drink water and even took the time to turn the stage lights around so that younger fans weren’t being blinded by them. Every second of Bad Wolves performance was immaculately executed. They proved that they are seasoned hard rockers with hearts of gold and their devotion and love for their fans was felt by everyone in the room that night.
Bad Wolves is on tour until December 11th so get your tickets here before they’re gone!
