The lines looked a bit light before the show but everyone must have shown up early because the Spectrum Center was absolutely packed for Lil Baby’s “It’s On Us” Tour on Tuesday night in Charlotte, NC by the time Lil Baby hit the stage. Unfortunately, the media wasn’t able to get in until the headlining act was preparing so we didn’t get any coverage of the openers.
Lil Baby, from Atlanta, GA, has been on top since 2017 when he rose to stardom with the release of his mixtape Perfect Timing before dropping his first studio album, Harder Than Ever, in 2018. More recently in 2022, he won a Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance alongside Kanye West.
Before Lil Baby hit the stage his team of DJs worked to keep the crowd going, even playing some of his own tracks before Lil Baby himself would perform them. The concert featured an extremely high production value with a cast of dancers, hundreds of unique stage visuals, and complimentary lighting to match. He started off the show with songs like; Never Hating, Stand On It’ and In a Minute. He performed the first 2 songs roughly 40 feet in the air on top of a suspended video wall. It was quite the performance and fans absolutely loved it.
I didn’t get to see a ton of the show tonight, but based on what I did see I definitely recommend going to see this tour. Lil Baby puts on a great show with fantastic production. You can find tickets for the remaining dates on the “It’s On Us” tour here.
