On, aptly enough, Friday the 13th, Las Vegas deathcore band Molotov Solution released their latest single, “The Golden Tower” and its accompanying music video. The song capped off a trilogy of singles that marked the first original songs by the band since October 2011. These three songs, “Devour the Children,” “Mortis Imperium,” and “The Golden Tower” will be a part of an EP scheduled for Spring of 2025.

The band, consisting of vocalist Nick Arthur, guitarist Robbie Pina, and drummer Jake Durrett, has been a powerhouse in the world of deathcore, supporting bands such as Suicide Silence, Chiamara, and having connections to Thy Art is Murder and As I Lay Dying.

The most symphonic and climactic of the three songs, “The Golden Tower” is an epic conclusion to the band’s return. Coming in at five and a half minutes, the song blends the band’s deathcore core with a symphonically epic touch.

Lyrically, the song is about how greed, power, and hate will ultimately be the demise of the ones who choose to oppress others (pretty timely if you ask me). This is a pretty common theme throughout Molotov Solution’s discography, the idea of challenging those in power and fighting back against greed, corruption, and hatred. A large theme of both the lyrics and music of this song also revolve around societal collapse and impending doom.

Frontman Nick Arthur had this to say of the song: “It explores themes of ultimate power, greed, and the inevitable collapse of societal structures. This track stands apart from the visceral intensity of ‘Devour the Children’ and the relentless weight of ‘Mortis Imperium,’ introducing an epic, apocalyptic tone that reflects humanity’s final descent. ‘The Golden Tower’ can be viewed as the most progressive song we’ve ever written, with dynamic compositions and sweeping heaviness that evoke the scale and inevitability of downfall. It is an emotional rollercoaster and a fittingly climactic end to the trilogy.”

The music video for “The Golden Tower,” directed and written by Dylan Hryciuk of Versa Films, is the final in the story of the trilogy. The story follows a cult led by a bloodthirsty demon that torments and possesses teenagers, turning them into zombie-like creatures to do her bidding. Obviously, being a deathcore band, graphic and gory videos such as this are to be expected, but with just how well this was produced by Hryciuk and Versa Films, I could easily see this concept becoming some sort of movie. Their VFX and color was top notch, and the concept is something that the horror genre could definitely use.

On the same day as the release of “The Golden Tower,” Molotov Solution also dropped instrumental versions of all three latests songs on a release aptly named “Trilogy.”

Molotov Solution can be found on Instagram and Facebook. “The Golden Tower” and the rest of the trilogy can be heard on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
