10 Years is an American alternative metal band formed in Knoxville, TN in 1999. The band consists of lead vocalist Jesse Hasek, lead guitarist Brian Vodinh, rhythm guitarist Matt Wantland, bassist Chad Grennor, and drummer Luke Narey. I had the honor of attending their show at The Concourse in Knoxville, TN on March 22, 2022.
Rising band VRSTY, based out of New York City opened the night. The did an incredible job of hyping the crowd up and getting them ready for 10 Years to get on stage. They played songs such as Shameless, Lovesick_, and Massive. Their energy was the perfect start to a great night.Â
Next the band Black Map, based out of San Francisco, California kept the show going. They made sure the energy stayed alive by singing songs such as Super Deluxe, Madness, and Run Rabbit Run. The were just what was needed to set the mood for 10 Years.Â
Finally, 10 Years joined the stage in a strong, fun way. Right from the moment they joined the stage, you could feel the energy in the room. They played their hit songs Fix Me, The Shift, Beautiful and many more. I loved the way Jesse interacted with his fans, he drew everyone in for the whole show, and even threw in a small crowd surf in at one point in the show. They closed out the evening with an energetic performance of their widely popular song Wasteland. Anyone who loves 10 Years, or even alternative metal should definitely go see this incredible band live.Â
If you would like to head to a 10 Years show, they will be making more stops in Las Vegas, Seattle, Denver and many more!
