Seven Year Witch, a rock band from Anderson, South Carolina. consists of Aaron Langford (lead vocals), Seth Burden (drums), Seth Anderson (guitarist), and Spencer Burden (bass). I had the privilege of getting to see their show at The Open Chord in Knoxville, TN.
The night opened with female-lead band, Nightfly based out of Knoxville, TN. Ella Mars by far has one of the most unique voices I have ever heard. From the moment she started singing everyone was immediately drawn to this amazing band. Their original, Break my Bones is a song that has been stuck in my head since I heard it. They were definitely what was needed to set off what would end up being, one of the best shows I have ever seen.
Next up was the unique but amazing band Wolves of Oz based out of Knoxville, TN. Their sound was a unique blend of hip-hop, r&b, jazz, and metal. From the moment they got one stage, the crowd was at the stage, ready for a party. They played newly released song, Hollow, which was so unique and drew everyone in. Their vibe is one that is perfect for opening any show!
Last but certainly not least, it was time to party with Seven Year Witch, and when I say party, that is exactly what it was. This group is a magnet in a room of metal. From the moment, they got on stage there was an energy that filled the room and didn’t go anywhere. These guys had a good time from start to finish. They sang their originals White Horse, Rags to Riches and Cyanide which are all incredible songs that draw you in. They even played a rock rendition of Akon’s, I Wanna Love You, which had every single person at their feet wanting in on the party. These guys put on what is hands down one of the top shows I have ever been to. If you want to see this energetic band live, they will be playing in Charlotte, NC, Bristol, TN and more.
