Lewis Capaldi Plays A Sold Out Show At The Grand Ole Opry In Nashville, TN

Lewis Capaldi opened his 2023 North American tour at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee on March 30th. This tour is in support of his upcoming album Broken by Desire to be Heavenly Sent.

Em Beihold is a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California. She is the opening act for Lewis Capaldi at the Grand Ole Opry. Beihold’s music is about real-life topics including subjects like mental illness and anxiety. Some of the songs from her set included Spiderman, Pedestal, Roller Coasters Make Me Sad and Numb Little Bug. Em has a great voice. Her lyrics and personality kept her fans linked with her at all times. She danced around the stage, including every part of the audience. To stay connected with her fans throughout the show, the lighting during her performance went along with the beat of the song and reflected the mood.

Lewis Capaldi is a singer-songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland and his genre is Pop and Blue-Eyed Soul. Capaldi is an artist that is known for his emotional ballads and powerful vocals.  He expresses himself in his music, which shows the listeners of the highs and lows of life. It leads them through the trials of relationships and mental health.

The lights went out and a screen started to flash images of the staircase from his upcoming album’s cover. Once Capaldi came on the stage, the whole crowd went wild with tears and screams of happiness. Lewis opened the show up with his song Forget Me, which was the first single from his upcoming album, Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent. The second song of the night was Forever. Later on in the set, before performing Before You Go, he told the crowd that this song was dedicated to his late aunt. A fan from the crowd yelled out saying that she had the same name as his aunt and was able to get closer to the stage to give Capaldi a shirt she had made. He then also dedicated the song to the fan.

During his set, he also performed Grace, Pointless, and How I’m Feeling Now. I was so happy to hear How I’m Feeling Now. This song is definitely one of my top favorites that Lewis has released to date. It felt so surreal to hear it live and be able to sing along with him and the rest of the crowd. Capaldi ended his set by singing his hit song Someone You Loved. Every fan in the venue stood up to sing along with him. All throughout the show, he had his fans completely laughing along with his jokes and singing along to every song. I do not think that I have ever laughed so much at someone’s humor. With his music and wit, Lewis Capaldi will keep the crowd entertained the entire night.
