Crown The Empire Brings The Fallout to Detroit

The Fallout 10 year tour brings earth-shattering bands to Detroit

Crown The Empire brought the 10 year tour for the Fallout to Detroit. This album was a pivotal moment for Crown The Empire and jump-started their road to fame. The band was formed in 2010, and dropped this album in 2012.

Until I Wake is the only band on this tour that I have not listened to, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Even though I did not know them, they were definitely a crowd favorite. So many people were screaming the words back at the band. This is refreshing to see since they are not quite as big as the other bands on this lineup. I love listening to new bands at shows and seeing their incredible presence.

Setlist:

Nightmares, Sinking Under, Octane, Inside My Head, Self Medicated

The Word Alive was second to go on. This is a band I have been following for a long time, and their frontman Telle sounds the same as he did 10 years ago. This band has solid member and it is good to see them coming back. The crowd went wild for them. Being in the photo pit, it sometimes feels like you’re someone the artists don’t pay attention to, but Telle makes sure you get fantastic shots by posing several times.

Setlist:

Misery, Trapped, Entirety, Dragon Spell, MONOMANIA, SEARCHING FOR GLORY, Wonderland, Life Cycles, Why Am I Like This?

The hometown heroes of the night were Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows (D.R.U.G.S.). With their frontman Craig Owens being form Michigan, we all made sure to show them a lot of love. This is their second tour since making a huge comeback last year. D.R.U.G.S. was a one time thing back in 2010, with their only album being made in 2011, until this year that is. D.R.U.G.S. released their sophomore album, Destroy Rebuild on June 17th.

Setlist:

The Only Thing You Talk About, Mr. Owl Ate My Metal Worm, Destiny, Gold, The Longest Road, Sex Life, Outcasts VS Everyone, If You Think This Song Is About You, It Probably Is

By the time Crown The Empire took the stage, the crowd was really pumped up. the members took to the stage and immediately set the scene for a great show. Then, about 10 seconds into the first song, the power goes out to the stage. The crowd took this time to bring the boys shots, which made for some awesome candid moments on stage. When things were up and running again, the crowd was even more hyped up. this energy kept going all night. If you’re a Crown The Empire fan, either new or an OG, I highly recommend going to this tour.

Setlist:

The Fallout, Two’s Too Many, Menace, In Another Life, Memories of a Broken Heart, Graveyard Souls, Evidence, BLURRY (Out of Place), What I Am, Children of Love, The One You Feed, Machines, Dancing With the Dead, Makeshift Chemistry

Encore:

Oh, Catastrophe, Johnny’s Revenge

Overall, this is an incredibly stacked tour. There are so many throwback songs that this show was pretty nostalgic for me. This whole tour is filled with throwback songs along with some new ones from all of the bands. The fallout was a big part of my teenage years and it was amazing to see this album played in full.
